It's the time of year when I create a calendar to give to friends as a Christmas present. I use a heavily modified version of a Photoshop ActionScript created by Jeffry Friedl. The original is here. My templates include UK holidays. This is an example of last year's May page.

Almost everyone photographs the huts made from upturned boats when they visit Holy Island. The challenge is to make something different. Generally I'm not a fan of digital effects plugins, but sometimes one of them works, and I rather like the Topaz Studio Swirly Strokes II look.

I am exhibiting at the Bognor Regis Camera Club summer exhibition from 1-6 August 2022 at The Regis School of Music.

A couple of us headed down to Climping beach, we knew that it would be wet, it turned out to be very wet. There's no such thing as bad weather for photography, and had we been better prepared on the clothing front then we would have stayed longer. The wet brings out colours, so the seaweed was very green.

I visited Chatsworth where "Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man at Chatsworth" is on display until October 2022. They have some monumental scupltures from the Burning Man festival. It's well worth a visit.

When originally displayed these art works were more interactive and, sadly, have lost some their orignal dynamic behaviours.

This year's Steyning Arts Trail is back to full strength after last year's delayed and slightly down-scaled trail, it runs from 28th May until 5th June. I am exhibiting in Raft at 54 Steyning High Str
